Catcher in the Rye #2
We learn more about Holden and Phoebe's relationship and it seems as if they really trust each other. Phoebe looks up to Holden as a role model and respects him. Holden trusts Phoebe with all of his problems although she's much younger than him. I wonder if that's a good thing that he pours all of his emotions and feelings towards her. He has strange problems and Phoebe listens to all of them. We'll see how their relationship grows.

I think Phoebe is awesome and the best character in the book...it was my favorite part when he sneaks into his own house to see her!!!
heyy jamie!! :)
I definitely can concur with how you were skeptical on whether or not Holden should spew all of his emotions and problems onto Phoebe. I feel like even though they are siblings, that is a lot of extra baggage for a young girl to handle, even if she is the only one willing to listen to him. I also feel like allie was his primary person to vent to, prior to his death, and now Phoebe has to deal with that shift as well. so yea i really liked your post...good work! :)

Interesting perspective,
I also often wondered how and why Holden trusted his younger sister as much as he did. Sure, she is very mature for her age but it's unusual that he puts so much trust into a younger relative. I would expect Holden to feel concerned that she (Phoebe) would somehow slip up and reveal some of his confidentiality. It's a unique bond they have for sure.
:)
p.s. - i <3 your picture with marlene!
I think it is really cute how they are so close and how he tells her everything. The only problem is that since she is younger, it could take a harder toll on her. I think it is really good that he has another sibling though, because now that allie is gone, he needs another family member that he can talk to besides his parents.
p.s. i love your blog layout :]
p.p.s. guess i love you too <3
